N.T. You are here, art is not

Michael Petry's text about re-siting installations (published in 'You Are Here', edited by the Royal College, London, 1997), is copied by us, using stencil-plate onto the walls of our studio.
Like monks transcribing text, we - through the slow laborious method used - got to know the text by truly engaging with the text, word-by-word, letter-by-letter. One page per wall, eight pages, eight walls.
For the show 'New Text Based Work'(with Kamiel Verschuren/Bo Andrea (NL) and Jason Coburn (GBr)) we re-sited the text through the use of eight slide projectors, projecting the transcribed text - including some surroundings of our studio- on the walls of the exhibition space.
